Privacy Policy
Effective July 30, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how Pocket Edu collects, uses, stores, and shares information when you use the service. By using Pocket Edu, you acknowledge the practices described here.
Information we collect
Depending on how you use Pocket Edu, we may collect:
- Profile information, such as your name, username, 10-digit profile code, account status, and preferences.
- Google account information used for sign-in, including your Google account identifier, name, and email address.
- Content and application data you choose to store, such as notes, settings, control preferences, uploaded files, synchronized save data, state files, previews, names, and timestamps.
- Technical and security information, including the IP address recorded when a profile is first created or signed in, sign-in timestamps, and operational logs.
If you create a username-and-password account, Pocket Edu stores an irreversible salted representation of the password. The service does not store or make the original password available to administrators.
Google user data
When you choose Google sign-in, Pocket Edu requests only the basic identity information needed to create, link, and authenticate your Pocket Edu profile: your Google account identifier, name, and email address. Pocket Edu does not request access to Gmail, Google Drive, contacts, Google passwords, payment information, or other Google account content.
Google user data is used only to provide account authentication and profile identification. It is not sold, used for advertising, or used to build advertising profiles.
How we use information
We use collected information to:
- Create, authenticate, maintain, and secure profiles.
- Synchronize notes, settings, and application data across sessions.
- Operate shared features and make intentionally shared uploads available to authorized users.
- Prevent abuse, diagnose problems, provide support, and administer the service.
- Maintain and improve Pocket Edu.
Storage and service providers
Pocket Edu uses Netlify for hosting, identity services, serverless functions, and data storage. Google processes information when you use Google sign-in. These providers may process information in the United States and other locations where they operate, subject to their own terms and privacy practices.
How information is shared
We do not sell personal information. Information may be shared with service providers only as needed to operate Pocket Edu, or when reasonably necessary to comply with law, protect users, investigate abuse, or protect the service. Content intentionally placed in a shared collection may be available to other authorized Pocket Edu users.
Administration
Authorized administrators may manage profiles and view account details needed to operate and secure the service. Administrators cannot view original account passwords. Pocket Edu’s public pages do not display private profile codes or stored IP addresses.
Retention, deletion, and your choices
Profile information and synchronized data may be retained while the account remains active and for as long as reasonably needed to operate, secure, or comply with legal requirements. An administrator can disable or delete a profile and its associated profile data, notes, saves, and states. Content placed in a shared collection may be stored separately and may not be removed automatically when an individual profile is deleted.
You may ask the Pocket Edu administrator to correct or delete your information using the support contact presented during sign-in. Google users may also review or revoke Pocket Edu’s access through their Google Account connections. Revoking access prevents future Google authentication but may not automatically delete information already stored by Pocket Edu.
Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures intended to protect information. No internet service or storage system can guarantee complete security, so you should keep your credentials private and avoid uploading information you do not want stored by the service.
Children’s privacy
Pocket Edu is not intended for children under 13 without the involvement and permission of a parent, guardian, school, or other authorized adult. If you believe a child’s information was collected improperly, contact the Pocket Edu administrator.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as Pocket Edu changes. The current version will remain available on this page with its effective date.
Contact
For privacy questions, correction requests, or deletion requests, use the Pocket Edu support contact shown in the Google sign-in consent screen or otherwise provided by the service administrator.
